Day 1
Bucharest – Odorheiul Secuiesc

We begin our tour in Romania from Bucharest.

Day 2

Red Lake – Agapia and Varatec 

Start our day with a visit to the Red Lake and continue our trip through Bicaz Canyon to discover the north region of Romania Bucovina, the land of painted monasteries and traditions.
Placed in a natural exceptional frame, Agapia and Varatec monasteries are the biggest nun monasteries in Romania. A walk through the two monastery villages, framed by the white clean, full of flowers houses of the nuns, is a real delight.

Day 3
 

Painted Monasteries

The landmarks of Bucovina are the outdoor painted monateries, each one with it’s own history, legends and colors. Our tour will guide you to the most important ones: Voronet, Moldovita, Sucevita, Humor, each one having a unique background color. The blue from Voronet is the famoust because it can’t be reproduced.

Day 4

Ieud Church & Barsana Monastery

Discover the land of Maramures where the history and legends are so alive that the modern civilization could not spoil its genuine culture.
The upper church of Ieud, inscribed in UNESCO’s World Heritage List, is made of fir tree wood. Historians have failed to agree on the date of its construction. The most cautious suggest the 17th century. Others date it as far back as 1364 and deem it to be the oldest in Maramures.
Barsana Monastery (UNESCO) a large monastic complex comprising of several wooden buildings, all constructed in the local style, including the wooden church The Gate Tower is the highest wooden building from Europe.

Day 5

Botiza – Sapanta – Desesti

Sapanta, Romania – Death, when it visits this isolated town in a forgotten corner of Europe, comes laughing – in the guise, almost, of a comic book. Next stop at the wodden church from Desesti which is included in the UNESCO heritages.

Day 6

Botiza – Sighisoara – Brasov

A panoramic tour of the city center at Sighisoara. Finally arriving to the medieval town of Brasov.

Day 7

Brasov – Bucharest

Transfer to airport. Depending on flight departure time we can arrange a visit at the Peles Castle.
